When I was still single in 1971, my first
Boxer appeared in my life.
Then I got married and had 4 children: Leticia, Ximena, Pablo
and Andres.
Our Kennel was born in 1973, co-founded by
my husband Fernando Rodiño and me.
My sons and daughters grew up with my
Boxers. They learned to walk holding themselves
on our dogs, making way to an unbreakable affection between them.
.

Our first Boxer
was Ambar de la Solana, a female originated mainly from
European bloodlines, a descendant of the majority of the dogs
imported by Gaetano Carlevaro Pérsico to Uruguay.
When we
decided to start breeding seriously, we realized that the female we
owned was not perhaps the ideal Boxer, true for
most newbie breeders.
So we set out in search of new dogs
At that time in Uruguay,
Don Ricardo Escuder´s kennel, Argos;
was
producing some very good dogs.
He introduced American and Canadian
bloodlines, originated from dogs imported by Argentinian breeders
We contacted Mr. Escuder and bought a male from him, Ion
de Argos, a son of the famous winner
Treceder´s Stampede.
Ricardo
gave us a lot of assistence and taught me about pedigrees and
bloodlines.
That same year we bought
Jazmin de Argos, also a daughter of
Stampede.
For the next following years we carried on
breeding Treceder´s bloodline
We came to know many Boxer fans and
breeders, but being afraid of making any omitions, I can not mention
all of them. But inevitably some images come to my mind: Ernesto
Balbiani, Eraldo Avila (at that time President of the BCA), Fernando
Fernandez Castro, Joao Antonio de Sá Brito and first of all, Gaetano
Carlevaro Pérsico.
From 1976 onwards, we
introduced the Millan´s Fashion Hint bloodline, by means of
Memorylane´s Gulliver and Memorylane´s Adventurer, owned by our
Argentinian friends Pedro and Nelida Bruck

I
became a Boxer breed judge in 1976.

At
the end of the 80´s, we made a break, but we did not stop having
quality Boxers
at home

In
the year 1996, I acquire our female Old Pal´s Penelope, and with
my sons already grown up, the breeding desire grew up in me again; but
this time alone, my husband decided not to accompany
me in this new crusade.

Lexiter
carries on being a family kennel, small,
with no more than one or two litters per year; and with the motto of
trying to improve our stock being responsible
breeders.
